Celebrating 3!

Yesterday I was helping Mom Rink. unpack some stuff and it was also Ryan's Birthday. So Will and I stayed and helped celebrate him turning 3. Jarod came over after work. Here is the cute train cake Candice made for the little guy. It was a good time had by all, other than Will melting down a few too many times.

Anna looking so cute in her little outfit. She's so tiny, those pants were supposed to fit like stretch pants.

New neighbors...Seth and Grandpa.

Love this one of Ryan...he's such a handsome boy.

Elle, waiting patiently for cake...unlike her cousin.

The Klop gang.

This is an attempt at a family picture. Our last snapshot of the three of us was last Dec. So here is a not so great picture of us. Will looks so strange, Jarod was eating and was so dirty, and my head looks like the size of a mellon. Oh well, at least we're good for another 6 months.

Memorial Day Weekend

Over Memorial Day Weekend, Mom and Dad Rink. moved up to Morton. We had our first dinner out on the Klop's patio in their fabulous backyard. It was a good time had by all. I did not remember to take my camera, so I 'borrowed' these from Candice, who was there with hers.

Since I didn't have my camera, Candice got these consecutive shots of Will on the diving board. Jarod told him to jump off, and this is what he did.
I can't blame him...this is how I tell him to get off everything he climbs on...which is a lot.

'Now what do I do?'

He's looking at Candice like, 'aren't you going to help me?'

Jarod coaxing.

Finally frusturated.

Candice dropped him down to Jarod...not bad.

On Memorial Day, Matt and Bek babysat while Jarod and I went out on Date night. Again I didn't have my camera, so didn't get pictures. Hopefully I will do better.

Photo File

Here are some pictures from this week...not too much going on.
I found this little guy out in our yard the other day. I can just picture a little ladybug sitting under it, waiting out a storm.

So Tami told me she has never made a pie before. I told her it was high-time she did her first. I was going to make a strawberry pie, so I had her make it instead. Here is the finished product. I thought it turned out beautifully, especially for a first pie. My first was not so pretty. Thank goodness, no one had their cameras that day.

Will has been taking naps in his big bed for a little while, but here is a picture to prove it. You can hardly see him amongst all his blankies.

We went over to help Tami with some yardwork. I will post before and after pictures when it's done, but for now here is our little helper. As the three bigger kids watched movies and caused havoc, little Aria played right by us all day.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Rubber Hoses and Geraniums

Who knew so much fun could be had with just this...

and these?
I decided to plant flowers the other day, since it was nice out. I decided to distract Will with the water hose.
He was quite serious for a while...trying to make the water go just where he wanted.

He soon figured out how to drink from a hose.

A big 'Ahhh!' after every drink...just like Jarod.

Some wet drawers.

He then got an idea that was pure genious!
Voila!

In the end there was one cold, wet, happy boy.
Nothing a hot bath and warm towels can't fix!

Family Time

This weekend we had Grandma's visitation and funural. It was such a nice time with family and felt more like a celebration of Grandma's 'going Home'.
I got a few pictures and also borrowed some of Tara's...since she is as good as the paparazzi.
Here is Shar and Jaret's little Faye. Such a little dolly.
Here Will and Jarod are at the visitation back in the eating room. Carmen's little Claire and Collin kept him entertained.

Here are a few of us girl cousins. Bek, Shar, me, Rach, and Tara.

Rachel and Jason. Jason is a great addition to the family...now Jarod is not the only one saying outrageous things. :)

Bek and Shar, such good buds.

We always said that Carmen was like one of our sisters for how much we hung out and our Moms were so close.

It was a little windy, but these three girls still look beautiful! Such sweethearts.

I found these three outside, I am sure discussing current Christian or Political issues.

Me and Rachy-Baby

Tam and Bek. Love these two so much!

Passing

My Grandma Huber passed away last night. Three of my Aunts were able to be with her at the time. They sang 'I'll Fly Away', and when they finished, she took two or three long breaths and died very peacefully.
Here she is with my Grandpa and her 'Darling'. I have never met anyone who was so crazy about their spouse as she was him, and him about her. They were definitely an example of a Christian marriage.
I am so happy for her and a little jealous that she can see him and especially my Mom. I don't know how it would feel to loose a child. And I really can't imagine what it would be like to meet them again...especially in Heaven.

I love you Grandma and will meet you again someday!

Picture this...Picture that!

Today a friend and I got our cameras and took some pictures downtown with our kids. Will was all over the place, but we got a few fun ones.

The Amtrak is right around the corner, and he kept hearing the train whistle. The far-off looks are him listening for the train.

I love this little hat. It is Josh's old one. It's almost too small for him and Josh just grew out of it. This is what an 'off the charts' head looks like.

I love this one. I think he looks so cute with his little hands in his pockets.

Here is him looking for the tractors in the construction zones.
